The Temiskaming Native Women’s Support Group operates two Keepers of the Circle Aboriginal Family Learning Centres in northern Ontario. The Keepers of the Circle applies medicine wheel teachings in supporting families and communities to achieve optimal health and wellness. Our programs and services look to the balance in physical, emotional, mental, spiritual wellbeing of our people.

The 7 sacred Grandfather teachings are foundational to our relations: honestly, humility, truth, love, bravery, respect, wisdom, courage! Encouraging healthy living with the incorporation of physical activity and nutrition education is a small part of what we offer to families. Diabetes awareness, prenatal nutrition, early childhood education, intergenerational cultural programming, employment and life skills are a primary focus.
