The Program Team and Evaluation Team were proud to share our program and findings at the “Recent Advances in the Prevention and Management of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity: Time to Focus on Strengths: Addressing Obesity in Indigenous Youth” conference in Winnipeg, MB last month.
Dr. Mary Jung and Master’s of Science student Ms. Katie Weatherson presented their findings from Year 1 implementation sites, which demonstrated the particular success the Healthy Together program had when run in Indigenous communities. Results were well received, and the poster turned out lots of great interest!
On the Program side of things, Michele Hucul and Anima Anand were pleasantly overwhelmed with the amount of traffic at their booth, with lots of Canadian organizations and fellow family centres wishing to learn more about how they can get more information on running the Healthy Together modules at their sites. Good work team!”
